Lawyers recently filed a federal wrongful death lawsuit on behalf of Ingram’s surviving family in Round Lake Beach, according to attorney Benjeman Nichols of Cavanagh Law Group in Chicago.
Ingram died on June 26 while in custody at the Menard Correctional Facility, according to Randolph County Coroner Randy Dudenbostel. Ingram was taking psychotropic drugs, which have the tendency to raise a person’s core body temperature.
The temperature high that day was 96 degrees and it was 91 degrees near Ingram’s cell, Dudenbostel said.
