A photographer, who suffered serious personal injury after being run over by an unmarked police car, believed to be transporting Prince Harry, has launched a claim for car accident compensation.
Fifty four year old Tony Margiocchi an ex-policeman and former soldier, was hit by a Ford Galaxy people carrier outside the Beaufort club in Knightsbridge, as he waited with other members of the press for the Prince, who had been at the exclusive West End club celebrating England’s win over France in the six nations rugby tournament.
Mr. Margiocchi suffered a broken leg in the incident and tore his Achilles tendon, his injuries were so severe that he was bed-ridden for months and was unable to return to work.
He has now launched a claim for personal injury compensation against the Metropolitan Police Force, for his loss of earnings and the pain and suffering caused.
