Hylla approves settlement of tow-truck wrongful death suit

A woman’s wrongful death suit filed over the deaths of her husband and infant son in a tow-truck accident is over.

Madison County Circuit Judge David Hylla entered the final approval of the confidential settlement between Jessica Legens, Regions Bank and all of the defendants in her 2008 suit on Feb. 15.

Jessica Legens sued tow truck driver Mark Ikerman, his employer Mannheim Services Corporation, the owners of Sparky’s Pub 397 and Mac & Mick’s Sports Bar and Grill for damages in excess of $50,000. There was also a move to add punitive damages to the suit at one time.
