Boy on bike struck by school bus, injured in Humboldt Park

By Liam Ford Tribune reporter 8:34 p.m. CDT, May 22, 2012 A 14-year-old boy on a bicycle was struck by a bus on a residential street in the Humboldt Park neighborhood and injured, relatives of the boy and officials said. Fire Department paramedics took the child to Children's Memorial Hospital in serious-to-critical condition about 4 p.m., said fire spokeswoman Meg Ahlheim. Asda pays compensation to worker injured in slip

03 Jan 2012 Asda has agreed to pay personal injury compensation to a former employee who was badly hurt in an accident in which she slipped on a spillage. October 31, 2011, By Becky Schlikerman and Peter Nickeas, Chicago Tribune reporters A 6-year-old girl was killed and a 16-year-old family friend was injured after they were struck by a car Saturday evening as they were walking to a Halloween party on the South Side, family and police said. Military museum’s model chopper hit woman, suit claims

CHICAGO — A Cook County husband and wife are suing the Russell Military Museum after the woman allegedly was struck by the spinning blades of a model helicopter during a live demonstration. On July 11, 2009, Agnieszka Wlodek was watching a live demonstration of “a flying, steel bodied, model military helicopter” at the museum, 43363 Old Route 41, Russell, when she was struck by the model’s rotating blades, according to a lawsuit filed Thursday in Cook County Circuit Court.
